Here’s a new tune I wrote. The recording quality blows (sorry), but I had fun recording it. Hope you enjoy.

So I totally improvised a song for the sake of throwing my banjo in the mix and messing with my harmonica. So here it is. It’s called “Whatever (Heaven).” Enjoy.

This is a link to me playing a folk version of Jay-Z's song "99 Problems."

It’s a year old and I just rediscovered it. It’s somehow not on my computer. Enjoy?

Tour Blog - Day 1: Mt. Pleasant, MI to Oxford, OH - Kofenya Coffee 381 miles traveled
(photo Seajay at Kofenya)
Tonight we played at a cool little coffee joint in downtown Oxford, OH called Kofenya with Mt Pleasant transplant Seajay (CJ from Bloomill).
About 30 people enjoyed our set, which was a bit unusual tonight due to using a small guitar amp for vocals because the venue’s PA wasn’t working. So we played a quieter, more “chill” version of the set we played at Rubbles for the kickoff show.
People seemed generally into our music, or they were at least polite enough to be attentive even if they weren’t interested. We sold a CD to some gals that were there already when we arrived and made a few tips as well.
Onward to Greensboro, NC already. As I write this, we are at a rest stop near the Ohio/West Virginia border taking a break from the 8.5 hour trek from Oxford to Greensboro. More driving in the morning. Good night.

Another Blink 182 cover (it’s a thing): my folk version of “Rock Show.” Enjoy.

Here’s my folkified version of Blink 182’s song “All The Small Things.” Enjoy.

Well, I haven’t recorded or uploaded a song in a long time so here’s a little something: “Trouble Weighs a Ton” by Dan Auerbach. Enjoy.

I decided to take part in an old folk tradition and cover this standard, first recorded by the marvelous Leadbelly back in the ’30s. It’s called “Goodnight Irene.” Enjoy.
